Summer Season

The summer season is a time we use to improve technique and develop new skills. We strongly believe that rowers who are proficient scullers will make better sweep rowers. All CJR rowers learn to scull, principally during the summer. We also take this season to correct and improve sweep techniques.

The team practices from 7 to 9 AM, Monday though Friday. The season begins June 21 and runs through July 31.

The summer season is open to experienced rowers. Beginners are invited to participate in the Summer Camp.

We will, once again, make the "Gorge Row". In late July we will row form the boathouse to the TN river gardens. It is approximately 26 miles and we will make a day of it.
